COVID-19 | Resources for the Community

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the Upper Manhattan community, UMEZ is compiling resources for small businesses and organizations to apply for financing in this difficult time and for application guidance. As we hear of more opportunities, we will continue to update this list. If you would like to submit a resource, please submit your suggestion here for consideration.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the support that the New York City healthcare system needs to respond to the pandemic, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a plea to retirees and healthcare workers to join the workforce.  Our partner 1199SEIU League is actively recruiting workers to assist in hospitals and nursing homes. For workforce development providers that have clients with experience in healthcare or who are interested in entry level positions, jobseekers can apply to the 1199SEIU Employment Center here.
