NEW YORK, NEW YORK –  Tiffany and Stephen Bowen are experienced business owners and longtime residents of Upper Manhattan. As they went out around Harlem, they felt like they couldn’t find a restaurant that had both great food and great hookah. Tired of heading downtown, Tiffany and Stephen opened Harlem Hookah in October 2016. Harlem Hookah is a high-quality hookah lounge serving exceptional food and creative drinks. The lounge appeals to a large audience in Upper Manhattan with daily specials, including Sunday brunch, and extensive wines and hookah flavors. Harlem Hookah is one of the only restaurants/lounges in the neighborhood that are open late (4am) seven days a week.

Through our small business loans (BRISC), UMEZ is proud to provide a line of credit to Harlem Hookah for working capital, supporting a staple in Harlem’s bustling nightlife.

“Tiffany’s creativity and work ethic creates the renowned Harlem Hookah experience,” said Andre Simon, UMEZ Community Lending Officer. “I am honored to facilitate a partnership with impactful entrepreneurs. Not only are the Bowens savvy business owners, they also give back to the Harlem community through their foundation.”
